The new terminal in Jablonec nad Nisou is the true transport hub of this city of almost a hundred thousand inhabitants. The building itself emphasizes the heel of an imaginary Jablonec ladder, fluently adding to the existing buildings in form. The demanding competition requirements demanded a drastic adjustment to the River Nisa, along which a pedestrian promenade leads. The elegant, slender bridge for pedestrians and cyclists connects the train station to the centre of the city, and is barrier-free. The backbone of the terminal is the bus service building linking the footbridge, the terminal, the car park and the promenade along the River Nisa. The main building of the terminal is another of the Jablonec verticals and viewed from a distance it strengthens the urban landscape of the city under the mountains.
